Waffle, from the Dutch Wafel, also known as: Wafle, Gaufre, Vaffel, Wafer.

Some of my best childhood memories about summer holidays at the Polish seaside...are waffles with whipped cream, topped with strawberries or raspberries and finished with some chocolat sauce. In one word....delicious. Today i want to share this recipe with you so you can try these yammy waffles yourself, the first is a little healthier option, the second, a real treat being the with full version :)

Enjoy!

Makes 6 big waffles

.

Method

Place all the ingredients in the bowl of a standing mixer. Using a whip attachment start mixing on a slow speed till smooth. If you notice some lumps, pour the butter through a sieve.

Cover with plastic wrap and let it stand for 15 minutes.

Preheat the waffle iron and brush it with coconut oil, pour some batter in the the mold about 1/3 of the shape. Bake it till the waffle is golden, I find my waffle iron makes the best waffles at maximum heat but you will have to try yours.

Let it cool on a cooling rack.

Serve with maple syrup, fruits, whipped cream, chocolat sauce, icing sugar or anything you like.
